Angeethi – Museum Inn, Church Street
The ambiance was nice and very low light, which made it difficult to take proper photos. We sat down at a table for six and ordered a hara bhara kabab, dal makhani, kadai sabz and a couple of naans (all in photos).
Oriental Connexions – The Best Walk to the Wok
Initially, I thought of just ordering a lime soda but then I read the description for ‘Walk to the Wok’ and was intrigued. I have been to countless buffets but nothing quite like this one before.
Grubshup, Aundh, Pune – Ideal for Gobbip
All in all, a great meal! I really enjoyed it and I wish I was with my wife who I know would have enjoyed it here. I will be back here when I am in Pune.
Jalpaan – Italian Menu, Indian at heart
I have been hearing about Jalpaan since a long time. I had visited it a couple of years back for a friend’s treat and my memory is hazy on that experience. I just remember that I came out with an “above average” feeling then. I intended to give it a test again recently.

5 Spice – A Must Visit in Mumbai
All in all, 5 Spice is a restaurant that would have got a 5 on 5 had it not been for the degrading service standards. I wish they pick up. For now, a 4 out of 5 is all I can give.
Chung Wah, Bannerghatta Road
Still, I have always enjoyed chopsueys, Sate Chickens, and Manchow Soup here. Yesterday, though, my experience was a little disheartening.
Eastern Diner
We had heard a lot of good things about Eastern Diner and had a lot of expectations when we walked in. We were not disappointed.
Caffe Pascucci – Not worth the wait
All in all, it was not the best experience I have had in a cafe. Cafe Coffee Day, though probably not the same in quality and nowhere near as pretentious, feels more like a hangout place than this. Still, would be open to another chance.
The Mairaj Restaurant – A tale of woeful service
Some times you pay for food, at other times – service. Most of the time, you expect a decent combination of both. That is the expectation I had when I walked in The Mairaj Restaurant, in Tilaknagar area in Bangalore.
