Musings of my complex self

  • Krazzy Folds – Not that crazy after all

Krazzy Folds – Not that crazy after all

We were planning for a family dinner for the weekend and going through the usual list of restaurants. We eventually decided to try something new and found Krazzy Folds in my list of bookmarks. It had great reviews on Zomato and I was looking forward to try it.

  • Two Years of Joy, Happiness, and Growth

Two Years of Joy, Happiness, and Growth

Today, I complete two years at Axelerant. TL;DR, it has been an awesome journey. Actually, that is quite an understatement as it does not fully describe the change in my professional growth during my time here. Apart from many things, I reflect that this is the longest time yet I have worked in an organization…

  • The 40th Annual Cake Show in Bangalore (2014)

The 40th Annual Cake Show in Bangalore (2014)

The cake show is now a commercial event with cakes only to attract people. You get barely 10 mins to walk through the area where all the cakes are displayed and bouncers would keep hovering around you to shuffle you along.

    Passport Renewal – My Experience

My experience in applying for my passport renewal and jumping through the hoops at Passport Seva Kendra, Marathahalli, Bangalore.

  • Caffe Pascucci – Found a Silver Lining

Caffe Pascucci – Found a Silver Lining

The first few times I was at Caffe Pascucci was plain disappointing. Even though they had a “Free Wi-Fi” sticker outside the door, it hardly worked.

  • Maiya’s Express – Not really express

Maiya’s Express – Not really express

I climbed up the stairs of Maiya’s Express in JP Nagar and found that there was hardly any place to stand. I went through the door at the side to find their store. The seating area is just through a open doorway.

  • Dyu Art Cafe – Just another one

Dyu Art Cafe – Just another one

All in all, this is definitely not one of the better cafes in Bangalore. I might have tried the place again if it were nearer but given the distance, I don’t see any reason to go there again. For now, a 3 out of 5 stars seems proper for this place.

  • Corner House – Preserving the memories

Corner House – Preserving the memories

Corner House has always been one of Bangalore’s iconic hangouts. It stands firm with it’s traditions while the city around it keeps changing. I remember their excellent hot chocolate fudge and cake fudge, two of my favourites from their short, but full menu.

  • Matteo Coffea – My New Hangout

Matteo Coffea – My New Hangout

I walked in with great hopes for Matteo Coffea and I was not disappointed. It has an excellent ambiance which, in spite of it’s large rectangular layout, doesn’t feel too exposed or open.

  • Angeethi – Museum Inn, Church Street

Angeethi – Museum Inn, Church Street

The ambiance was nice and very low light, which made it difficult to take proper photos. We sat down at a table for six and ordered a hara bhara kabab, dal makhani, kadai sabz and a couple of naans (all in photos).
