The 38th Cake Show in Bangalore
I remember visiting the cake show every year when I was very small and then, the cakes were nothing short of impressive. Huge, accurate representations of monuments, buildings, were placed in air-cooled rooms surrounded by a slow moving queue.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Personally, I don’t see this movie as an epic adventure at all. It is just a small story that started it all, and for that, the movie is quite well made and entertaining.
Barbeque Nation
The starters, though the same menu, have undergone a massive improvement in taste. In fact, there are now options in the kind of marinate or sauce you want on the chicken starters. The Masaladar Tangdi and Mutton Sheek were also better than before.
Barfi!
Set in the beautiful landscapes of Darjeeling and busy, active streets of Kolkata, the story contrasts the lives of Barfi and Jhilmil against Shruti’s life. The imagery helps convey the depth of the characters themselves and lends a picturesque backdrop to the story.

We started with discussions on pricing in outsourcing services. As is evident, it is broadly grouped under hourly cost or fixed cost basis. While scoping documentation is important in both cases, it is especially so for a fixed cost project. Another related aspect is competing on prices and attracting clients.

We got around two large tables and started with introductions. Considering there were about 35 people, introductions took a fair bit of time – and it was worth it. Each story was different from the previous and provided a different angle, a different view or a new possibility – be it knowledge of pain points…
June 25th, 2012 (yes, this year)
This Monday, 25th June strongly reminded me of the 25th June 2007 when I felt much the same. I can only hope that this day is a landmark of an even bigger life than the one heralded by the day five years back.

In retrospect, there is no doubt that I made the correct decision even though it seemed against all notions of entrepreneurship. June 25th 2007 – I remember that date for it was the beginning of a whole new ‘me’. I am very grateful for everyone and everything that made this possible.
