Jalpaan – Italian Menu, Indian at heart
I have been hearing about Jalpaan since a long time. I had visited it a couple of years back for a friend’s treat and my memory is hazy on that experience. I just remember that I came out with an “above average” feeling then. I intended to give it a test again recently.
Cafe Churchill, Colaba, Mumbai
It is a smallish place with about 5-6 tables. It has a very casual atmosphere and a cozy setting, bordering on cramped. It was alright though. We looked at our options while waiting for the waiter, which took some time as there was apparently only one waiter working at the time and all the tables…
5 Spice – A Must Visit in Mumbai
All in all, 5 Spice is a restaurant that would have got a 5 on 5 had it not been for the degrading service standards. I wish they pick up. For now, a 4 out of 5 is all I can give.
Pizza Hut Chef’s Table
The third season of Pizza Hut Chef’s Table was led by Pizza Hut’s Head Chef Arjyo Banerjee and Barilla’s Executive Chef Luca Ciano. It was a grand success, and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Chung Wah, Bannerghatta Road
Still, I have always enjoyed chopsueys, Sate Chickens, and Manchow Soup here. Yesterday, though, my experience was a little disheartening.
Eastern Diner
We had heard a lot of good things about Eastern Diner and had a lot of expectations when we walked in. We were not disappointed.
Caffe Pascucci – Not worth the wait
All in all, it was not the best experience I have had in a cafe. Cafe Coffee Day, though probably not the same in quality and nowhere near as pretentious, feels more like a hangout place than this. Still, would be open to another chance.
Moghul Darbar – Good only for food
The food, of course, is the only reason to go here. I just ordered two dishes, seeing as I was the only one eating. The all-time favourite – Biryani Rice and Chicken Tikka.
The Mairaj Restaurant – A tale of woeful service
Some times you pay for food, at other times – service. Most of the time, you expect a decent combination of both. That is the expectation I had when I walked in The Mairaj Restaurant, in Tilaknagar area in Bangalore.
Donuts at Krispy Kreme
That was until I received an invite to a blogger’s meet at Krispy Kreme one evening. Honestly, I was looking forward more to the meetup than the donuts. I read the reviews and I knew that the donuts had to taste better than what you get at those small bakeries, but I was not that…
